Gravitational Force: Keep the Whole Building Level and in Plumb

Gravitational force acts between the earth and every building, object and person. When columns, beams, walls, plaster and elevation are aligned with plumb line and level, the force stays balanced and the occupants remain healthy and alert; misalignment brings obstacles, illness and loss.

What it does

Keeps health, peace, concentration and money flowing by balancing the gravitational force in the house.

Where

Plinth beam, columns, beams, walls and elevation

Samagri used

  • Sahul (plumb line)
  • Spirit level

How to do it

  1. 1Lay the plinth beam exactly at water level.
  2. 2Keep every column vertical and every beam, wall and plaster surface in one alignment, checked with plumb line and level.
  3. 3Do not build a tilted elevation.
  4. 4Check that floors, doors, windows and furniture are all at one level.

Cautions

  • If the plinth beam is not at water level, the family will hold many opinions and never agree.
  • A tilted building needs about double the iron and still lacks the strength of an aligned one.

Explanation and notes

Signs of misalignment: work is not completed on time, obstacles arise, health suffers, concentration breaks, money is not attracted and others pay no attention to one's words. A vehicle shows the same logic: when its wheel alignment is off the tyres wear out, and when the spine is slightly out the whole body is misaligned. Where gravitational force is balanced, development, business and peace follow; where it is unbalanced, growth stops, business does not run, the mind has no peace and illness keeps returning. Singapore and Ghana, and in India parts of Madhya Pradesh such as Indore, Vidisha and Ujjain, Gujarat and Rajasthan, are given as places where the force is balanced and intellectual, religious-minded people are found.

Land Energy Comes Before Direction (Dasha Before Disha)

The word Vastu comes from the Sanskrit vas, the land of residence, so the condition of the land is judged before any direction. Land energy decides about 70 percent of the result.

Principleवास्तु की परिभाषा

Core Definitions of Vastu from the Classical Texts

Vastu is defined in complementary ways: the land of residence, the architectural art of coordinating nature and human, orientation according to the sun, the free movement of air, a structure that controls the mind, the management of universal energy and the balance of the five elements.

Principleवायु का निर्बाध आवागमन

Ventilation in Every Room: Vastu as the Free Movement of Air

Energy rising from the land (geopathic) meets energy from the planets and stars (cosmic) and forms a third energy that can turn intense or toxic when mixed with household activity, so it must be able to leave the house. Every room therefore needs ventilation.

What Sun Rays Carry at Each Time of the Morning

Sun rays are described as miracle rays that carry silver, gold, iron, mercury, lead and other minerals as well as vitamin D and vitamin B12, each at a particular time around sunrise. No electric light can supply these.

Principleचंद्र भेदी

Longer North-South Axis for Magnetic Attraction (Chandra-Bhedi Plan)

The sun's movement from East to West creates a magnetic effect with North and South poles. A plot, building, room or hall whose North-South axis is longer (chandra-bhedi) holds the strongest magnetic field, giving attraction and concentration; one whose East-West axis is longer is called surya-bhedi.
