Where should a construction company's office be?

Construction belongs to Mangal, so the office should be in the South zone, with its door in the East.

With my door on N8 and E1 I have never seen any fear of fire. Why not?

A dosh does not act all the time. Any defect gives its bad effect only when the related planetary dasha, mahadasha, antardasha or pratyantar dasha runs; fear of fire comes when a Mars period such as Angarak yoga is active. Fear can also take other forms, such as constant insecurity about the future.

Which mahadasha should the N8 door defect be related to?

N8 is the location of Jupiter (Guru), so it relates to the Guru mahadasha. The fear connected with it appears when combinations such as Jwalamukhi yoga or Angarak yoga form. Otherwise some fear, such as insecurity about the future, tends to remain anyway.

Is choosing the door related to astrology?

Yes. With the person's astrology as the base, the door is chosen according to whom it will suit. The class covers three ways, by rashi, by exalted and debilitated planets in the birth chart, and by mulank, and the birth chart carries the most weight.

What is mulank, and why does it carry less weight than rashi or the birth chart in choosing a door?

Mulank is the digit sum of the birth date: born on the 1st it is 1, on the 11th 1 + 1 = 2, on the 13th 1 + 3 = 4, on the 18th 1 + 8 = 9. Indian astrology gives it little weight because India runs by tithi, not by date; if dates mattered, tides, amavasya, purnima and eclipses would fall on fixed dates. Doors by mulank follow the planet of each number (1 Sun East, 2 Moon North-West, 3 Jupiter North-East, 4 Rahu and 7 Ketu South-West, 5 Mercury North, 6 Venus South-East, 8 Saturn West, 9 Mars South), but the rashi and the birth chart should decide.

My Jupiter is exalted and my door is on N6-N7, towards the North-East, yet we have had no problems. Why?

The Ishaan (North-East) corner belongs to Jupiter, so people whose Jupiter is exalted can keep their door there. This shows how the birth chart decides which door suits a person.

Mulank 4 and 7 point to a South-West door. If Rahu is exalted in the chart, can one keep a South-West main door?

It has been seen that people whose Rahu is exalted, at a good degree and giving good results, had South-West doors without much trouble. Even so, a South-West door should be avoided. Where one exists, do the main door usara with seven sea-salt lumps given in this class, which gives very good results.

Is the mulank for a birth date of 19 taken as 1?
In my chart no planet is exalted or debilitated. How should I understand this for choosing a door?

There is nothing to read into it; not everyone has exalted or debilitated planets, and it is neither good nor bad. In such cases the door is chosen towards the direction in which the benefic planets sit, which was taken up in the evening astro-vastu class.

My new flat's entry is on N4, but Mercury sits in the 8th house of my Mesh lagna chart, though not debilitated. Will using this door activate the 8th house?

Such a case has to be judged from the birth chart, so it was taken up as a special case study in the evening astro-vastu class. For this analysis only the lagna chart is used, not the navamsha, so only the lagna chart needs to be sent.

Our small house has an iron door outside and a wooden door inside. Which is the main door, and what if the inner door is on a wrong pada?

The wooden door is the main door. Iron is acceptable in the West, and an iron door in the boundary wall is acceptable. If the inner main door is on an unfavourable pada, correct it with the direction-wise bandhanwars and symbols taught in this class plus some door power. Moving it to S4 suits only if the male head of the house has Kark, Makar or Kanya rashi, because Vedic vastu judges this from the male head of the house alone, not from anyone else such as the wife.

Is a dark grey background necessary, for example when making videos?

No, it is not necessary; many videos are made without any dark colour. If Saturn or Rahu is strong in your kundali, dark colours may even suit you. A video is short, so do not worry much about it; think carefully about colours in the office and bedroom, where you spend long hours.

Which colour should be used on the outside of the house?

The exterior (elevation) colour is chosen from the kundali: either the colour of your own element or the colour that awakens your fortune. This is covered in detail with elevation.

If Mercury is debilitated in the chart, does wearing green make a person ill?

With a debilitated Mercury there is no reason to wear green at all; donate green clothes instead.

For trading, should Rahu be good or bad in the chart?

Rahu should be exalted: an exalted Rahu makes a trader very rich, and people with a strong Rahu earn huge amounts from shares. When an exalted Rahu and Ketu are linked with the house of gains, people have been seen earning crores from the share market.

Businesses and homes mostly use mixed colours. Should the zones still be followed?

Mixed colours are normal; a business uses several colours in its logo, flex, sign board, letterhead and visiting cards. Which colours to take from the kundali for business, study, spirituality and luck, and how to balance one's direction and element, is taught in the astro-vastu part.

In a family of four, one member has an exalted planet and another a debilitated one. Whose chart decides the paintings and colours?

The house is planned from the chart of the head of the household. A member who has a separate room, such as a son sleeping in his own room, can have that room done according to his own chart.

If the lord of a good house sits in the 8th house, is that a problem?

No. The lord of a good house sitting in the 6th, 8th or 12th must be given power, just as Ram freed Sita from Ravan. Use its colour, its metal and its beej mantra to strengthen it.

What if the 11th lord sits in the 11th house in its own sign?

That is very good: the lord is swagrahi and gives excellent results. Use its colour, grain, gem and metal as much as possible.

If the Sun is debilitated, what should be put up?

Put up nothing for the Sun. Donate its grain, wheat, on a Sunday to benefit.

If a kendra lord sits in the 8th or 12th house, can its colour be used?

Yes. Sitting in the 8th or 12th only ties its hands and feet; it needs power to free itself, so use its colour, its metal and its beej mantra.

If a planet is in an enemy sign, should its colour be used?

Check its full condition first; in an enemy sign it will not give its full result. Use instead the colour of the 9th lord or the 10th lord, whichever is auspicious for you; once the 9th lord is strong, comforts start coming on their own.

The husband paid for the house but the registry is in the wife's or mother's name. Whose chart is used?

The chart of the person whose money is invested is used, even if the registry is in someone else's name.

If there are no planets in a house, such as the 5th or 10th, how are its lord and colour used?

Every house has a sign number, and its lord sits somewhere in the chart. Find where that lord sits; the direction in which it sits is auspicious for you. Not every house has a planet, since there are only nine planets for twelve houses.

What should be done if an exalted planet is retrograde and sits in the 6th, 8th or 12th house?

Nothing special is needed; exalted and swagrahi planets give good results wherever they sit. If its degree is weak, strengthen it with its colour, metal, artefacts, minerals and rocks.
