Is a balcony included in the constructed area when zoning?
Yes, if it is connected and fully usable. It is not treated as a cut or an extension; this will be explained later on a plan.
Seeing the questions of the many experienced consultants in the group, I feel I know nothing. What should I do?
That is a negative mindset. Big names often do small work; those who learned wrongly have to work harder to remove it, while a beginner needs less effort to learn it right. Keep practising and watch the class videos again and again.
When does a main door built on a correct pad still not give proper results?
When the route to the boundary gate is heen bahu (anti-clockwise) or prishth bhang (circling the house), when there is any dwar vedh in front such as a T-point, shool vedh, pole, tree, pit or garbage, when the house faces a cremation ground, or when the door is out of plumb and leans inward or outward. In any of these cases even doors on N3, N4, E3, E4, S4 or W4 do not give their results.
Our house faces a cremation ground and despite hard work we have had no results for four years. What should we do?
A house facing a cremation ground drains about 90% of the effort, and changes made in it give only about 10% results. Mercury and mercury nails placed all around give some relief but not full results. Plan to leave the house and take another one in time to secure the future of the children.
A family with an N4 door has had only boys across generations. What can be done for a girl child?
N4, like N3 and W4, is a door that brings sons. Open an E2 door, which brings the birth of daughters. A home without a daughter is not a complete home.
My main door is on E4, yet since moving into this house I have had many money problems. Why?
First check whether the door is in plumb and level with a plumb line and water level, and whether a wall or another door stands in front of it. In this case the entrance was fine; the real cause was a full basement in the South and West portion, together with a problem in the North-East.
Which four things make a person immune to vastu dosh even when the house has many defects?
A daily bath in water in which a potli of the herbs of the nine planets has been dipped; tirth darshan during every eclipse and during vyatipat yoga; using swar in every daily activity from waking to sleeping; and daily abhishek of the consecrated deity, applying the dust of the feet of the deity on the forehead and sprinkling the abhishek water in the house above navel height.
Is it a dosh if the lift is to the side of my flat door rather than directly in front?
No. A lift creates dwar vedh only when it is exactly in front of the main door, where it obstructs luck and delays work. Its remedies are taught with the other remedies.
If someone needs to open an entry where a door is not possible, is a mirror the only option?
No, there are many options. Virtual doors and the other ways of opening an entry are taught in the door remedy classes.
Bank lockers are kept in basements. Is that wrong?
Not all banks keep lockers in the basement. A study found that banks with lockers in the basement had the most NPA accounts, and such banks were also looted by big frauds. A locker should never be kept in a basement.
Many malls have parking in the basement. Is that right?
Yes. Work that needs no sun rays, such as vehicle parking, suits a basement, and bars and discos also run there. In Europe the heating system is placed in the basement, because vastu depends on local geography and climate; Indian principles do not apply as they are abroad, and foreign vastu is taught separately.
If a basement lies between two buildings, how is its direction checked?
Degrees can still be taken: place the compass parallel to the axis, or draw the line with the Google Earth compass, and read the degree from it.
What is the effect of basements in hospitals, and can X-ray machines be kept there?
Functions that need no sun rays, such as storing materials, can be in a basement. X-ray machines can be used in a basement because they do not need sun rays; sunlight actually creates trouble for them.
Is the entry of a basement counted where the stairs reach below or at the top?
The entrance is counted where the door begins, so the basement entry is counted from the top.
If there is a window in the North but it is never opened, what results does it give?
Only about 25% of the results, because the subtle currents do not come in; only the surface cosmic currents reach.
Can a chabutra be built in a basement?
Yes, a chabutra can be built in the basement, and building it there gives results.
Is a swimming pool in the North-West good?
No, a swimming pool in the North-West is not good; only one built above floor level is acceptable there.
Do these boring and underground tank rules apply to farms too?
Yes, the same rules apply to farm land.
How is a boring in the North, NNE and North-East?
Borings in the North, NNE, NE and ENE are very good, and the North-East is the best. Never bore exactly on the North-East diagonal corner, the seat of Shikhi devta.
Which is the best zone for a swimming pool?
NNE and the North-East, leaving out Shikhi devta on the diagonal, and from the North-East through ENE up to the East.
Are an underground water tank and a septic tank the same?
No, there is a world of difference between them, and they follow different rules and locations.
How should a 4-inch sewer drain pipe running through the centre be judged?
The underground drainage line should run from the South-West towards the North-West, that is clockwise, and leave the plot at the North-West; that is good.
Are the water supply lines coming into the house counted as water bodies?
No. Water lines reach every zone anyway through washrooms and taps, and lines inside the ground do not have much effect. Only dirty water lines matter, which is why they should run clockwise.
A South boring was abandoned and a new one dug in the right place. How should the old pit be closed permanently?
Put five haldi, five supari, panch ratna and a silver swastik into it, then fill it completely with sand.
What are soot and saval?
They are the mason tools for checking that a wall or door is true: a plumb bob hanging on a thread like a pendulum shows whether it is in one line from top to bottom. Masons also use a guniya (L-shaped square) and a water level, and a vastu consultant should carry the plumb line and water level.
