When a chamber or tank goes deep enough, below navel level, it does not attract dosh, because in the human body, which follows vastu, the dirty matter also lies below the navel. A dirty chamber near the surface is not acceptable.
It shows a defect or imbalance at that pad. When an offering reaches a defective place the defect tries to come out, as when granite tiles at one devta pad cracked during a group havan, and the body reacts. The uneasiness is a signal: the pad must be purified and activated with the method being taught (havan samagri, bhog samagri, mantra or the samagri to hang), so wait for the full method before trying again.
The navel (nabhi) is the exact Brahmasthan of the body.
The left side is the chandra nadi and the right side the surya nadi. The surya nadi is for fierce or aggressive work, while timely and stable work belongs to the chandra nadi: shilanyas and griha pravesh are done in the chandra nadi at a fixed muhurta, so the watch, which keeps you on time, goes on the left. Also, in the vastu of the human body the left hand represents the North, where Mercury lives and where the clock is hung.
